SECURITY BANK APP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
EFFECTIVE ON: October 20, 2025
Definition of Terms
Security Bank app Terms and Conditions (the “User Agreement”) sets forth the specific terms and conditions which shall govern the use and operation of Security Bank app offered by Security Bank (the “Bank”). For these terms and conditions, the term Security Bank app covers both Security Bank app via mobile and web browser.
The words "We", "Us", "Our", "Bank", “SBC” refer to Security Bank Corporation. The words "You", “Your” and “Yours” refer to registered or enrolled users of Security Bank app (the “User”).
Account/s refers to bank account/s of the user that was opened by a said user with the Bank, such as, but not limited to, deposits, debit cards, credit cards, loans, investments, and such other account/s, which are made accessible by the Bank to the user through the Security Bank app.
An online banking account is an account that allows customers to manage their finances and perform various banking transactions through our mobile and web platform with the use of internet.
Acceptance
Security Bank may modify, amend or revise this Agreement or any of the terms and conditions applicable to any of the services provided through Security Bank app from time to time. You shall be notified of any such modification, amendment, or revision at least sixty (60) days prior to implementation of any amendments to the terms and conditions herein via e-mail or by public notice which may take the form of posting in public places, such as posting on Security Bank’s website, Security Bank app, or by such other electronic transmission or use of an electronic platform and/or at a conspicuous place within the premises of all banking units, which the Bank, at its option, considers appropriate and effective. Any such modification, amendment or revision shall be valid and binding upon me on the date of effectivity specified in the notice. Clients who do not agree with the new/revised terms and conditions have the right to exit the contract without penalty provided, that such right is exercised within thirty (30) days from receipt of individual notice or thirty (30) days from issuance of public notice.
This agreement including all agreements in the Security Bank app shall form part of the General Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts, Credit Card Agreement, and such other rules and regulations governing your Accounts with Security Bank app shall apply to any future Accounts which you may hereafter open with Security Bank.
This Agreement shall be governed by all applicable rules and regulations of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). https://www.bsp.gov.ph
Access
By registering, enrolling, or using the Security Bank app, you have accepted and agreed to be bound by all operational rules and general terms and conditions governing the Security Bank app, including without limitation all the following paragraphs, and to pay the InstaPay fee for every fund transfer transaction to non-SBC bank accounts or any fees associated with the use of Security Bank app. The complete and updated set of fees and charges, which may change over time, are provided on the Bank's website: Fees and Charges. SBC will duly inform the Client of any changes in fees, interests, charges and penalties. You likewise agree to be bound by all laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, rules, decrees, and other directives applicable to the Security Bank app, now existing or which may hereinafter be issued. You agree to be subject to other terms and conditions governing the use of other facilities, benefits, products, or services of the Bank, which we may make available to you within the Security Bank app.
The Bank has the absolute discretion to make the Security Bank app available to you. We have the discretion to determine the services offered in the Security Bank app, set or change the daily cut-off time, modify, restrict, withdraw, cancel, suspend, or discontinue any or all services without giving any reason. You understand that by using the Security Bank app after any change, you have agreed to any such change. We will not be liable to you if you are unable to gain access to the Security Bank app. You understand that while the Security Bank app is available 24-hours a day, some or all services may not be available at certain times due to maintenance and/or computer, telecommunication, electrical or network failure, or any other reasons beyond the bank’s control.
All linked accounts will automatically be displayed in the new Security Bank app. Users are responsible for hiding/displaying their own accounts in the new Security Bank app.
You understand that Security Bank does not guarantee that the Security Bank app will work or be compatible on all browsers, devices, or operating systems. Compatible browsers and operating systems are included in our FAQs. For browsers, customers can access the Security Bank app by using Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Samsung Internet, and Opera. For operating systems, Users should use iOS 13 and up. Android users should use Android 6.0 and up.
You likewise understand that for your protection, we will lock your Security Bank app Username should you fill in the wrong Password and/or wrong One-time PIN (OTP) three (3) times in one day. You may unlock your Security Bank app Username and/or Password through the bank’s Customer Contact Center at +632 8887-9188 or 1-800-1-888-1250 (Toll free for PLDT landline).
Activating biometric authentication for the Security Bank app will enable any fingerprint or facial data stored on your device, now or in the future, to be used to access your Security Bank app, and consequently allow you to view and make transactions on your accounts.
In case you activated the biometric authentication in your Security Bank app, and you have someone else's fingerprint or facial data stored on your device, transactions made using any of the biometric data stored on the device will be considered as authorized by you and you will be responsible for them. Please refrain from activating biometric authentication for Security Bank app if you have another person's biometric data stored on your device.
Suspension/Cancellation
The Bank reserves the right to suspend or cancel your access to the Security Bank app. Likewise, your access to the Security Bank app may be reinstated at our sole discretion. Security Bank reserves the right and is authorized to suspend, terminate, remove, disable or discontinue access to or use of the Security Bank app (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice if and when the authorized user (i) violates any of these Terms and Conditions, (ii) violates or fails to comply with applicable laws, rules, policies, and regulations; or (iii) if the Bank, at its sole option and discretion, reasonably determines that suspension, termination, removal, disabling or discontinuance of access to or use of any or all of the Security Bank app is necessary to protect the interests of the Bank, its clients or third parties. In any such event, you agree that the Bank shall in no event be liable to you or any person for any and all claims, liabilities, costs, payments, damages, and expenses, arising from or in connection with the suspension, termination, removal, disabling or discontinuance of the Security Bank app (or any part thereof).
Username, Password and One-Time PIN (OTP)
You are responsible for keeping your Security Bank app Username, Password and your OTP secret and confidential.
You agree not to disclose your Security Bank app Username, Password, and your OTP to any other person and will take all steps necessary to prevent the discovery of your Security Bank app Username, Password, and your OTP by any other person.
You are likewise responsible for ensuring the security of your device/s and/or One-Time PIN and for keeping these protected from compromise, fraud, loss, or theft.
You will hold Security Bank free and harmless against any and all liability, administrative, civil or criminal, including but not limited to, those relating to any secrecy laws or regulations (if any), should any of your account information be viewed or accessed by any persons other than you, unless the Bank is found to be guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct in relation to the subject transaction, and there is no contributory negligence on the part of the CLIENT.
An OTP is necessary for you to be able to transact via the Security Bank app. OTP via SMS shall be sent to your mobile phone number on the bank’s record.
You acknowledge and agree to hold Security Bank, it’s/their directors, officers, employees, and agents free and harmless from any and all losses or damages, including attorneys' fees, that may arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the non-delivery, delayed delivery, or the misdirected delivery of an OTP caused by a factor(s) affecting your mobile device service provider(s) or internet service provider(s), and other factors outside our control, , unless the Bank is found to be guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct in relation to the subject transaction, and there is no contributory negligence on the part of the CLIENT. You will immediately notify the bank if your mobile device where your Security Bank app is registered is lost or stolen, or if you have any knowledge or reason for suspecting that the security or confidentiality of any OTP, password, unlock code, or your Security Bank app has been compromised, or if there has been any unauthorized use of any OTP, password, unlock code in the Security Bank app.
You will also immediately notify the bank when you change the mobile phone number where the bank sends the OTP. You will be solely responsible and liable for all losses and consequences arising from or in connection with any failure by you to comply with any of the foregoing.
You will inform us as soon as reasonably practicable if you know or suspect that someone else knows your Security Bank app Username, Password, and/or your OTP, or that unauthorized transactions have taken place, or that your Security Bank app Username, Password, and your OTP has been lost, stolen or compromised; and if you fail to do so you will be liable for any transactions made on your account.
The Security Bank app and the OTP are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Security Bank shall not be liable concerning Security Bank app, OTP or other devices, application, or delivery channel designated by the Bank for use for the generation, delivery, and/or receipt of OTP, including, without limitation, liability for breach of any implied term as to satisfactory quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, including without limitation any loss or damages incurred or suffered arising from any failure by you to keep secure and/or use of the Security Bank app or other device or application under any instructions and other terms of the Bank. No warranty of any kind, implied, express or statutory, including but not limited to the warranties of non-infringement of third-party rights, title, merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose, is given in conjunction with Security Bank app, OTP or other devices, application, or delivery channel designated by the Bank for use for the generation, delivery and/or receipt of OTP.
We will be entitled at our sole and absolute discretion at any time from time to time to cancel without notice the use or make changes to the Security Bank app or other devices, application, or delivery channel designated by us for use for the generation, delivery and/or reception of OTP without giving any reason therefore and we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage as a result thereof.
You acknowledge and agree that the use of an OTP and the Security Bank app is subject to the Data Consent and Data Statement governing your Security Bank Account/s. Consequently, you give consent for us to disclose any information relating to you or your Account to any of our subsidiaries, branches, affiliates, agents, correspondents, representative offices, and service providers, which has a legitimate business purpose for obtaining such information, including without limitation offering you products or services involving the use of the Security Bank app or OTP.
You acknowledge and agree to protect yourself from any attempt to obtain your personal and Account information, such as my Login Credentials, authentication information, and other Account details, by any individual or entity using an unofficial mobile number and/or email address and/or website. You understand and acknowledge that Security Bank does not need to ask for your Password and/or OTP and you will not disclose your Username, Password, and OTP to Security Bank even if you were asked to do so via e-mail or any other form of communication.
You will immediately notify SBC when you change your mobile phone number where it sends the OTP. You will be solely responsible and liable for all losses and consequences arising from or in connection with any failure by you to comply with any of the foregoing.
Services
Account Enrollment
You may enroll any and/or all of your Account/s in the Security Bank app except for JOINT AND and ITF accounts. Enrolled Accounts may be viewed and/or accessed via signing/logging to the Security Bank app using your Username and Password or using Biometrics.
With the all-new Security Bank app, customers will no longer need to manually add their accounts in the mobile banking app. All accounts will be automatically enrolled in the new application. If you wish to remove an account in the account dashboard, it can be configured in the application under Security Settings.
In case any Account which is accessible through the Security Bank app is a joint account, you will be responsible for the liabilities and obligations of the other account holder(s) to whatsoever extent arising on a joint and several basis. It is hereby understood and agreed that all transactions to be made by any one of the accountholders in a joint account using the Security Bank app are deemed authorized and implemented with the consent of all your other co-depositors/co-accountholders.
Transactions
Should there be any discrepancy/ies and/or errors committed in connection with the funds transfer transaction (such as, but not limited to, incorrect amount or incorrect beneficiary), you agree to coordinate directly with the beneficiary to settle the amount. You authorize us to act upon any instruction, which is identified by your Security Bank app Username, Password, and your One-time Pin. The Bank shall be responsible to act on instructions sent through the Security Bank app which the bank received. You also agree that the bank shall not be held responsible for the malfunction of communication facilities that may affect the timeliness or accuracy of your instructions.
Any instruction given or agreement made with us via the Security Bank app using your Security Bank app Username and Password and/or One-time Pin shall be deemed valid and binding on you. The Bank will not be obliged to investigate the authenticity or verify the accuracy and completeness of your instructions. Such instructions will be deemed correct, complete, irrevocable, and binding on you. You hereby accept full responsibility for all transactions executed via the Security Bank app and ensure the accuracy and completeness of your instructions.
You agree that we may, without notice and without stating the reason therefore, cancel or reject any of your instructions at any time without incurring any liability.
We will issue a transaction reference number for Bill Payment and Fund Transfer transactions done through the Security Bank app. Such information is not to be regarded as a bank statement or advice. We will not print or issue any transaction reference, advise or confirmation for any other bank transactions other than Bills Payment and Fund Transfer transactions conducted via the Security Bank app although such transaction will appear in the monthly bank statements issued to you by us. You may print such transaction at any location which shall show the time at such location. Notwithstanding what may be shown in any device or print-out, the transaction is completed and reckoned at the location of the device. The transaction details, account balances, and other information as shown in any device or print-out are for reference only. Those transaction details and account balances as recorded by us will be conclusive (for example, as to the balance, the type and amount of the transaction, and the time and date it occurred).
Transfers and Payments (Immediate/Scheduled)
We will not be obliged to carry out any transfer or payment instructions unless and until your Account(s) with Security Bank has sufficient funds or credit to pay the relevant amount(s). You also understand and accept that outgoing funds transfers will be subjected to regular screening according to applicable domestic laws, including sanctions and regulations. As required by said laws, Security Bank may cancel, suspend, block/hold or reject any funds transfer if it finds that information on the transaction, payor or payee matches the information of a target in any of the bank’s watchlist.
We cannot guarantee the time at which the receiving banks or billing organizations will credit the account(s) of your payees. To avoid incurring charges, you must initiate a transfer or payment sufficiently in advance of the due date of your payment.
We will not be responsible for any charges imposed in any of the following situations:
You do not have sufficient funds in your Account(s) with us to make a transfer or bill payment;
An order of a court or other competent authority directs us to prohibit withdrawals from the relevant Account(s);
Your Account(s) with us is/are closed or your Accounts(s) with us (or any funds therein) has/have been put on hold;
You have not provided us with complete and correct payment information, including without limitation the name, address, account(s) number, the destination bank and branch code, destination city and country of the payee, and payment amounts for the payee on a bill payment;
You did not correctly use the Security Bank app; or
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (such as fire, flood, or improper transmission or handling of payments by a third party) prevent the transfer or bill payment, despite reasonable precautions taken by us.
Transfer of US dollars and other foreign currency and conversion convert of foreign currency to Philippine Pesos can only be made to your account. And not to any third party. You may also have option to share your transaction receipt via 3rd party communication app.
We reserve the right to terminate your use of Transfers & Payments at any time without notice.
If the payment is made on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, your account shall be debited for the payment amount on the same day and the biller advised of such payment on the next banking day. The Bank shall not be liable for any act or omission in relation to the payments or for late payments due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Bank. For purposes hereof, the term "banking day" will mean any day in which banks are open for business in Manila, Philippines, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
Any discrepancy between the billing amount and the paid amount and/or between the customer reference number indicated in your bills and the customer reference number of your actual account with such biller/payee shall be directly resolved by you and the biller/payee. Security Bank shall not be held responsible for any such discrepancy or dispute. Neither shall Security Bank represent either party nor intervene on behalf of either party.
Security Bank is authorized to disclose to any of the biller/s or payee/s relevant information pertaining to you, your Account/s, and/or your transactions, as may be necessary for the processing and implementation of your requested transactions.
Bills Payment shall be for current/due bills only. Except as otherwise agreed in between Security Bank and the relevant biller/s and/or payee/s, payments for past due or overdue accounts with service disconnection/termination of contract or lapse of the policy shall be made directly to the biller/s and/or payee/s as the case may be.
Security Bank may cancel and/or terminate and/or remove any biller/s or payee/s at any time by either party without any written prior notice of such cancellation and/or termination.
Security Bank may, at its absolute discretion, reverse a bills payment transaction in case of system-related technical issues. You will be notified accordingly by the Bank through SMS, email or any other means of communication.
Security Bank may, at its sole discretion, impose limits and restrictions on the currency of the funds that can be paid to a biller and/or payee and/or beneficiary.
Starting date of the scheduled transaction should be later than the current calendar date. The scheduled transaction cannot start on the calendar date of request. If the transfer must be done on the calendar date of request, you understand and agree that you have to perform a real-time funds transfer, without prejudice to setting a new scheduled funds transfer for future transfer/s.
Any scheduled transaction shall cause the amount of funds you indicated to be debited from your selected source Account and credited to the beneficiary account on the date/s of such future scheduled transaction unless falling on a non-banking day.
For each scheduled transaction, when the requested transaction date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the actual transaction date will be the next banking day after such Saturday, Sunday or holiday.
In the case of multiple transactions coming from a source account and such account has only enough balance to make some but not all fund transfers, Security Bank, in its sole discretion, may determine which of your transaction requests to complete.
Scheduled transactions may be canceled or amended at least one banking day before your scheduled transaction date through the Security Bank app.
Transfers
InstaPay is an electronic fund transfer (EFT) service that allows customers to transfer PHP funds almost instantly between accounts of participating BSP-supervised banks and non-bank e-money issuers in the Philippines. The service is available 24x7, all year round.
Definition InstaPay:
Real-time, low value electronic fund transfer transactions.
Retail payment, also known as fast payment, defines electronic transmission of payment message and availability of “final” funds to payee, occurs in real-time or near real-time on an almost 24/7 basis.
PESONet, which stands for the Philippine Electronic Fund Transfer System and Operations Network, is a non-time sensitive fund transfer service under the National Retail Payment System (NRPS) of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas that allows customers to transfer PHP funds to accounts in participating banks and non-banks in the Philippines.
Definiton of PESONet
Automated clearing house (ACH) under the National Retail Payment System
Operates as a batch electronic fund transfer (EFT) crediting system which groups multiple transactions together and processes them in batches at specific times during the day
QR Ph is the Philippine’s national QR code standard which allows for interoperable payment solutions wherein customers may send payments to any participating merchants or billers by scanning a QR Ph Code.
Definition of QR Ph
QR Ph Code shall mean a QR Code that has the red, blue and yellow QR Ph logo at its center, which can be scanned to send payments to any participating bank or e-wallet.
Sender - the party initiating the IBFT Instruction through the Originating Institution to transfer funds from his/her/its identified Source Account maintained with the Originating Institution to the Beneficiary Account maintained with the Receiving Institution using the facility. Any fees charged for the IBFT Instruction will be for the account of the Sender.
Beneficiary - the receiving party identified by the Sender of funds in the Interbank Funds Transfer Instruction.
Funding Account/ Source Account - the account maintained by the Sender with the Originating Institution which is identified by the Sender as the account to be debited with the amount specified in the IBFT Instruction.
Destination/ Beneficiary Account - the account maintained with the Receiving Institution that is identified by the Sender as the account to be credited with the amount specified in the Interbank Funds Transfer Instruction
Interbank Fund Transfer Instruction (IBFT Instruction) - instruction submitted or entered by the Sender in the facility to transfer funds from the Source Account maintained with the Bank for credit by the Receiving Institution to the Beneficiary Account as identified by the Sender.
Originating Bank (Institution) - the financial institution with which the Sender maintains the Source Account and tasked to ensure that the Source Account and the amount specified for transfer are the same as the required details provided in the IBFT Instruction prior to processing the transaction.
Receiving Bank (Institution) - the financial institution with which the Beneficiary Account is maintained and tasked to ensure that the actual account number and the amount it credited are the same as the Beneficiary Account number and the amount specified in the IBFT Instruction received by it.
Operating Guidelines
I acknowledge that the Bank may process my IBFT Instructions in accordance with its policies and procedures including BSP Circular No. 980.
In initiating an IBFT Instruction, the CLIENT shall indicate the Source Account, the amount to be transferred, the Beneficiary’s name and the Beneficiary Account details and other details as necessary in the Security Bank app.
Only cleared and withdrawable balances of my enrolled/nominated accounts shall be considered for IBFT transaction subject to limits that may be set by the Bank. In case of insufficient funds in my account and/or violation of limits, my fund transfer request will automatically be cancelled, and the Bank will not be required to make any further attempt to perform the transfer. The Bank shall have no obligation or liability if the transfer is not completed due to insufficiency of funds in my account or violation of limits. In all cases, I am responsible for making alternate arrangements for the transfer.
Limits – maximum per transaction of P50,000 with maximum aggregate of P100,000 per day.
PESONet Limits – maximum per transaction of P500,000 with maximum aggregate of P500,000 per day.
QR Ph Limits – maximum per transaction of P50,000 with maximum aggregate of P50,000 per day.
The IBFT transaction is deemed completed when the Originating Institution has debited the amount subject of the funds transfer and service fee from the Source Account, and the Receiving Institution has credited the Beneficiary’s Account. In which case, there shall be no reversal of the IBFT transaction.
Liability on Beneficiary Details
I understand that the Bank shall have no obligation or liability if the funds were not transferred to the intended recipient due to an erroneous account number entered. I understand that it is always my responsibility to ensure that transaction details entered are correct and accurate. I also understand that the Bank is not a party to any agreement between me and the Beneficiary in relation to the IBFT instruction.
The Bank will refund the funds subject of the IBFT instruction in case it is cancelled due to circumstances such as but not limited to:
incorrect beneficiary account number
incorrect beneficiary details
beneficiary account is not a PHP currency account; and
any other reason as may be decided by the Bank and/or the BSP.
- Availability and Cut-off Limits
I also understand that I can transfer funds which are subject to a daily amount limit. I also agree that the Bank may modify the interbank funds transfer limit from time to time with prior notice to me (the client). Any such modification, amendment or revision shall be valid and binding upon the client on the date of effectivity specified in the notice. If the client does not agree with the new/revised terms and conditions, they have the right to exit the contract without penalty provided, that such right is exercised within thirty (30) days from receipt of individual notice or thirty (30) days from issuance of public notice.
I acknowledge that transactions made through the Security Bank app shall be subject to the Bank’s prescribed cut-off time(s), and transactions made after the designated cut off time(s) shall be considered transactions of the next banking day.
- Disclosure of information
The Bank is authorized to disclose any matter pertaining to my account(s) as may be necessary for the operation of this Interbank fund transfer payment arrangement. Henceforth, I hereby waive my rights as a depositor under RA 1405 or the Secrecy of Bank Deposits Law and allow the disclosure of my account information as may be necessary to affect this transaction.
In consideration of the Bank’s implementation of my interbank fund transfer request, I agree to hold the Bank, its subsidiaries and affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and representatives/agents, free and harmless from any and all claims and liabilities which may arise therefrom and I undertake to reimburse/indemnify the Bank for all such costs, payments, damages and expenses which the Bank may be held liable for or which the Bank may incur or have incurred by reason of the Bank’s implementation of my Interbank fund transfer, unless the Bank is found to be guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct in relation to the subject transaction, and there is no contributory negligence on the part of the CLIENT.
Inquiry on Balance and Transaction Activity
You can use the Security Bank app to access the balance and transaction history on all your Account(s). Transactions history on deposits, credit cards, investments are limited to the last 90 days.

Lock/Unlock and Daily Budget
I understand that transactions including but not limited to Over the Counter, on-us, and off-us cash advance transactions, stand-in transactions, recurring transactions, installment transactions, and automatic debit arrangements are exempted from e Daily Budget Alert and Lock/Unlock features of Card Control.
Report Trip Abroad
You understand the terms and conditions detailed herein and the corresponding risks entailed in creating a Report Trip Abroad request. You further agree that your creation of a Report Trip Abroad request is at your own risk, and you shall assume all risks, errors, omissions, and delays incidental to or arising out of it.
By accepting the terms and conditions and by creating a Report Trip Abroad request, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions governing the same, its nature, present and future functionalities and operating features.
You understand that acceptance online shall be equivalent to acceptance in writing and agree that the bank may modify, amend or supplement the terms and conditions from time to time.. Clients shall be notified at least sixty (60) days prior to implementation of any amendments to the terms and conditions herein by public notice which may take the form of posting in public places, such as the BANK’s official websites and/or at a conspicuous place within the premises of all banking units.
Clients who do not agree with the new/revised terms and conditions have the right to exit the contract without penalty provided, that such right is exercised within thirty (30) days from receipt of individual notice or thirty (30) days from issuance of public notice.
You likewise agree to be bound by any and all laws, rules, regulations, and official issuances applicable to a Report Trip Abroad request now existing or which may hereafter be issued or communicated by the bank through whatever means, as well as such other terms and conditions governing the use of other facilities, benefits, or service which the bank may make available to you in connection with a Report Trip Abroad request.
You also agree that your continued creation of Report Trip Abroad requests thereafter shall constitute your acceptance of the modifications and revised terms and conditions.
You understand that, by creating a Report Trip Abroad request, you are consenting to the storing, tracking, and analysis of my information in relation to user preferences and trends.
Should any of the terms and conditions herein be held invalid, the legality and enforceability of the remaining Terms and conditions shall not, in any way, be affected or impaired.
Foreign Exchange
You agree that the foreign exchange trade facility may not always be available due to facility/system upgrades and/or maintenance.
The foreign exchange rates indicated in the foreign exchange trade facility are subject to change at any time. The Bank shall have no obligation or liability for any incurred loss due to changes of the foreign exchange rates for the foreign exchange trade transaction.
eSecure Savings
I understand the Terms and Conditions detailed herein and the corresponding risks entailed in opening and maintaining an eSecureSavings Account. By accepting the terms and conditions and by opening an eSecureSavings Account, I agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions governing the same, its nature, present and future functionalities and operating features, and to pay any applicable fees associated with the use of the same. Acceptance online shall be equivalent to acceptance in writing.
I agree that you may modify, amend, or supplement the Terms and Conditions from time to time subject to regulations of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. I likewise agree to be bound by any and all laws, rules, regulations and official issuances applicable to eSecureSavings Account now existing or which may hereinafter be issued or communicated by you through whatever means, as well as such other Terms and Conditions governing the use of other facilities, benefits, or service which you may make available to me in connection with eSecureSavings Account.
I also agree that my continued maintenance of my eSecureSavings Account thereafter shall constitute my acceptance of the modifications and revised Terms and Conditions.
I further agree that my maintenance of my eSecureSavings Account is at my own risk, and I shall assume all risks, errors, omissions and delays incidental to or arising out of my maintenance of an eSecureSavings Account.
Should any of the Terms and Conditions herein be held invalid, the legality and enforceability of the remaining Terms and Conditions shall not in any way be affected or impaired.
ELIGIBILITY TO USE
I understand that I can only open an eSecureSavings Account if I am an existing depositor of Security Bank and have therefore undergone full KYC (Know-Your- Customer) procedures.
I also understand that I can only open an eSecureSavings Account if I have at least one active peso CASA account enrolled in the Security Bank app, but that Security Bank reserves the right to decline my application to open an eSecureSavings Account for whatever reason which you are not obliged to inform or notify me about.
I also understand that the account name of my eSecureSavings Account will automatically be based on my enrolled Security Bank app account name.
BALANCES, DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS
I agree that the Bank reserves the right to impose a minimum balance requirement on my eSecureSavings Account which may be changed periodically at its discretion.
While the Bank will endeavor to keep on hand an updated balance of my eSecureSavings Accounts, I am aware that it is my duty to periodically ascertain from the Bank the actual balance based on cleared funds I also agree that Article 1250 of the Civil Code of the Philippines which states “In case an extraordinary inflation or deflation of the currency stipulated should supervene, the value of the currency at the time of the establishment of the obligation shall be the basis of payment, unless there is an agreement to the contrary” will not apply to the account.
I understand that only a deposit to and/or withdrawal from my eSecureSavings Account via fund transfer using the Security Bank app and other proprietary alternate channels, such as ATM and Security TeleBanker, shall be free of charge.
I understand that for other channels powered by BancNet, such as BancNet Online and Security MobileBanker, only a fund transfer to my eSecureSavings Account will be allowed and it shall be subject to a cost. I also understand that you have the right to impose reasonable fees and/or charges should I wish to deposit or withdraw over-the- counter. I also understand that such charges may change after prior notice has been given to me.
In making a deposit or withdrawal or in transferring funds to my eSecureSavings Account, I understand that I shall be fully responsible for the accuracy and correctness of the information filled out in the fields of the “Transfer Funds to eSecureSavings Account” or “Transfer Funds from eSecureSavings Account. ”modules and I further agree to hold the Bank free and harmless from any liability for losses due to any discrepancy therein, such as but not limited to transfers to incorrect eSecureSavings Account or account number.
I also understand that the Bank will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by me or by a third party due to computer programming defects, errors due to faulty communication lines, or any defect in the material or workmanship of any computer equipment.
I further agree that only cleared and withdrawable balances of my enrolled accounts shall be eligible for fund transfers subject to limits that may be set by the Bank. In case of insufficient funds in my account and/or violation of limits, my fund transfer request shall automatically be denied, and you will not be required to make any further attempt to perform the transfer. You shall have no obligation or liability if the transfer is not completed due to insufficiency of funds in my account or violation of limits. In all cases, I am responsible for making alternate arrangements for the transfer.
I also understand that I can only make transfers to and from my own enrolled CASA and eSecureSavings Accounts.
I may choose to transfer funds immediately or on a scheduled basis. For Immediate Fund Transfers, I shall manually trigger the transfer on the transfer date while for Scheduled Fund Transfers, funds shall automatically be transferred on a scheduled basis.
The starting date of Scheduled Fund Transfer is at least one (1) banking day after the date of request. A Scheduled Fund Transfer cannot start on the date of request.
Cancellation of a Scheduled Fund Transfer should be done through Internet banking at least one (1) banking day before the scheduled date, taking into account the transaction cut-off time.
BILLS PAYMENT
I understand that bills payment shall not be considered as a withdrawal and as such, will not affect the full quoted rate.
Only cleared and withdrawable balance of my eSecureSavings account shall be considered available for bills payment subject to limits that may be set by the Bank. In case of insufficient funds in my account and/or violation of limits and unavailability of host to process my bills payment request, my bills payment request will automatically be cancelled and you will not be required to make any further attempt to perform the payment. You shall have no obligation or liability if the payment is not completed due to insufficiency of funds in my account or violation of limits and unavailability of host. In all cases, I am responsible for making alternate arrangements for the payments. I may choose to pay bills immediately or on a scheduled basis. For Immediate Bills Payments, I shall manually trigger the payment on the payment date while for Scheduled Bills Payments, bills shall automatically be paid on a scheduled basis.
The starting date of a Scheduled Bills Payment is at least one (1) banking day after the date of request. Such funds will be deducted from my source account and will be paid to my chosen merchant on the scheduled bills payment date(s). A Scheduled Bills Payment cannot start on the date of request.
I also understand that the Security Bank app will no longer re-process any unsuccessful bills payment due to whatever reason.
Any discrepancy between the billing amount and the paid amount shall not involve the Bank. Instead, the same shall be resolved between me and the payee- company(ies).
You shall have no obligation or liability if the payment that I made was not received by the intended merchant nor paid in favor of the intended subscriber or card number due to wrongly selected merchant and/or erroneous subscriber or card number. I understand that it is always my responsibility to ensure that transaction details entered are correct and accurate.
Cancellation of Scheduled Bills Payment should be done through Internet banking at least one (1) banking day before the scheduled date taking into account the transaction cut-off time.
Bills Payments made through the Security Bank app after system downtime shall be considered payments for the next banking day.
You are authorized to disclose to any of the payee-company(ies) any matter pertaining to my account(s) as may be necessary for the operation of this bills payment arrangement. Henceforth, I hereby waive my rights as a depositor under RA 1405 or the Secrecy of Bank Deposits Law and allow the disclosure of my account information as may be necessary to effect this transaction.
Payment procedures/stipulations imposed by my payee-company(ies) not consistent herewith or with the Terms and Conditions hereof or any related documents or instruments executed by me and the Bank shall be incorporated herein and made part of these Terms and Conditions.
You shall not be liable for any adverse actions/consequences instituted by any of my past due accounts, including service disconnection, termination of contract, lapse of policy, and/or the like.
The bills payment arrangement between you and any of your affiliated payee- companies may be cancelled at any time by either party without any prior notice of termination to me.
TAXES, FEES AND CHARGES
I agree that my eSecureSavings Account(s), whether active or dormant, will be subject to such service charges imposed by the Bank. I further agree that you have the right to deduct such charges against the account(s). A monthly service charge imposed by the Bank shall be charged if the daily balance of my account(s) falls, at any time during the month, below the minimum maintaining balance required by the Bank. I agree that my accounts with negative balance due to service charges or other causes may be closed by the Bank with prior notice to me.
I further agree that any and all taxes, fees, charges, or assessments to which this deposit is or in the future may be subject, shall be for my sole and exclusive account
DORMANT ACCOUNTS
I understand that my eSecureSavings Account(s) which have no activity (deposit/withdrawal) for two (2) years will be classified as dormant. I further understand that dormant accounts are subject to monthly service charges the amount which may be amended by you periodically.
I also understand that once an account turns dormant, transactions shall not be allowed by the Bank unless I personally visit the depository branch for reactivation.
I further understand that deposits remaining dormant for more than 10 years will be subject to escheat as provided by law.
MISHANDLED ACCOUNTS
In addition to the foregoing provision, I understand that the Bank reserves the right to close the account anytime without prior notice to me if the account is, in your opinion, not maintained in a satisfactory manner, when the account is being used as a tool for the commission of fraud or any other crime or when the continued existence of the account with the Bank would prejudice your interest in any way.
The Bank, its officers and employees will be free and harmless from any and all liabilities, claims and demands of whatever kind or nature in connection with or arising from (i) the closing of the account and/or (ii) reporting by the Bank of the closing of the account and their reason(s) therefore to the BAP.
INTEREST
I understand that my eSecureSavings Account(s) shall earn interest at such rate as the Bank may provide from time to time, provided that the minimum average daily balance requirement to earn interest is met.
I also understand that the interest rate that shall apply to my account is dependent on my average daily balance and number of withdrawals. I further understand that the quoted interest rate(s) shall apply only for one calendar week. Succeeding interest rates will be set by the Bank every week thereafter and shall be reflected in the Security Bank app.
I also understand that the interest rates can only be applied to the account if I did NOT withdraw more than once within a calendar month and the Daily Cleared Balance required is met. Should I make more than one withdrawal within a calendar month, interest shall be computed based on savings account rate.
I further understand that the Bank has the right to impose any penalty on interest even after the interest has already been credited to my account.
GOVERNING LAW
I understand that these terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
I also understand that the Bank has the right to deactivate my Security Bank app account should my accounts be under hold-out, garnishment, sequestration, with adverse claim, or with any other legal/contractual impediment, regardless of the claimed amount. Nevertheless, should I succeed in withdrawing from the account, in whole or in part, I undertake to return the amount withdrawn not later than three (3) business days from notice by the Bank.
STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT (SOA)
I understand that no Statement of Account (SOA) shall be mailed monthly to me, but that I may view the transactions of my eSecureSavings Account(s) using the SOA download module or function in the Security Bank app.
ENROLLMENT TO E- BANKING SERVICES
I understand that eSecureSavings Accounts may be made available in the bank’s proprietary alternate channels. However, available functions may be limited to inquiry of balances, viewing history of transactions, and transferring funds to the eSecureSavings account.
REJECTED TRANSACTIONS
I agree that the Bank may, at any time and for whatever reason, reject any transaction without any liability. I further agree that the Bank shall not be held liable for the loss or damage suffered by me due to the non-completion of the transaction.
DISCLAIMER AND WAIVER
1. I hereby hold the Bank free and harmless from any liability arising from any unauthorized transaction(s) in my eSecureSavings Account or any damage and/or monetary loss incurred by me. It is assumed that all instructions are effected by me or made with my knowledge, unless the Bank is found to be guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct in relation to the subject transaction, and there is no contributory negligence on the part of the Client..
2. Consequently, the Bank shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit, or damage suffered by me by reason of error or failure to complete or effect transaction if said error or failure resulted from accident force majeure, strike, war, viruses, tampering, fraudulent use, misuse or my non- compliance with the stated procedure in the brochure or instructions provided.
DELETION AND CLOSURE OF AN ESECURESAVINGS ACCOUNT
1. I understand that I can delete an eSecureSavings Account at any time. Further, the deletion of my eSecureSavings Account(s) means that I can no longer make deposits or withdrawals or view the balances of that account(s).
2. I am aware that I can only delete an eSecureSavings Account(s) if there is no more balance in that eSecureSavings Account(s). Should there be any balance left, I should transfer these funds or balance to another account.
3. I understand that once I delete my eSecureSavings Account from the Security Bank app, the Bank has the right, for whatever reason, not to provide me the interest earned prior to the deletion.
4. I also understand that my eSecureSavings Account(s) with negative balance(s) due to service charges or other causes may be closed by the Bank.

II. Client Suitability
Prior to the initial participation in the Fund, the Trustee shall conduct a client suitability assessment to profile the risk-return orientation and suitability of the client/participant. The profiling process shall at the minimum, require the Trustee to obtain client/participant information through its Client Suitability Assessment (CSA) Form, the result of which shall be the basis of the Trustee’s acceptance of said participant/client in the Fund.
III. Subscription/Participation and Redemption
Subscription (additional investments) to and redemption (on a per COP basis) from the Fund via Security Bank app will be conducted on regular banking days (or the transaction or value date), from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.* Any instructions made after the said cut-off time of 1:30 p.m. shall be admitted the following banking day using the Net Asset Value Per Unit (NAVpu) for that said banking day.
Participation in the Fund shall always be through participation in units of the Fund and each unit shall have uniform rights or privileges as any other unit.
Participation and/or redemption shall be executed in units and valued based on the Net Asset Value Per Unit (NAVpu) of the Fund at the end of the particular banking day, in accordance with existing BSP Regulations on mark to market valuation of investment securities held by the Fund.
*Schedule may change due to circumstance beyond the Trustees control (i.e. pandemic, weather disturbances, etc.)
Finally, only cleared funds shall be acceptable for investment.
IV. Valuation
All assets of the Fund shall be marked to market daily in accordance with the existing BSP rules and regulations on marking to market valuation of investment instruments/securities.
The Net Asset Value (NAV) shall be the summation of the market value of the underlying securities of the Fund plus accrued interest income less fees, taxes and qualified expenses.
The NAVpu shall then be determined by dividing the NAV of the Fund by the number of units outstanding as of valuation date.
V. Risk Disclosure
Your investment in any Security Bank Corporation – Trust and Asset Management Group UITFs exposes you to the various types of risk enumerated and defined hereunder:
a. Interest Rate Risk – possibility for an investor to experience losses due to changes in interest rates.
b. Market/Price Risk – possibility for an investor to experience losses due to changes in market prices of equities or bonds.
c. Liquidity Risk – possibility for an investor to experience losses due to inability to sell or convert assets into cash immediately or in instances where conversion to cash is possible but at a loss.
d. Credit Risk – possibility for an investor to experience losses due to a borrower’s failure to pay principal and/or interest in a timely manner.
e. Counterparty Risk – possibility of the Fund to be exposed to risks relating to the credit standing of its counterparties and to their ability to fulfill the conditions of the contracts it enters into with them.
f. Reinvestment risk – possibility of having lower returns or earnings when maturing funds or the interest earnings of funds are reinvested.
In the case of foreign currency-denominated security or in case investing in Target Funds through Feeder Funds that are foreign currency denominated funds, the UITF is also exposed to the following risks:
a. Foreign Exchange Risk - This is the possibility for the Fund to experience losses due to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates. The exchange rates depend upon a variety of global and local factors such as interest rates, economic performance, and political developments.
b. Country Risk - This is the possibility for the Fund to experience losses arising from investments in securities issued by/in foreign countries due to changes in the political, economic, and social structures of such countries.
c. Emerging Markets Risk - The possibility for the Fund to invest in less developed or emerging markets. Investing in emerging markets may carry a higher risk than investing in developed markets.
d. Equity Risk - The value of the Fund that invests in equity and equity-related securities will be affected by the economic, political, market, sectoral, and issuer-specific changes. Such changes may adversely affect securities, regardless of the Fund's specific performance.
e. Stock Market Cyclical and Concentration Risk - Stock markets tend to move in cycles, with periods of rising prices and periods of falling prices that will affect the Fund's performance. In addition, the Fund's targeted actual index may, at times, become focused in stocks of a particular market sector, which would subject the Fund to proportionately higher exposure to the risks of that sector.
f. Index Sampling Risk - The possibility that the securities selected for the Fund, in the aggregate, will not provide investment performance matching that of the Fund's targeted actual index and its respective composition given the margin of variance allowed for the Fund.

The Trustee of the Fund may temporarily suspend calculation of the NAV/NAVPu of the Fund, as well as subscription to and redemption from the Fund, if it is unable to determine the NAVPu of the Fund due to any fortuitous event, such as fire, natural calamity, public disorder, or national emergency affecting the financial market, as a result of which disposal of some or all of the Fund’s investments cannot, in the absolute discretion of the Trustee, be effected normally or without seriously prejudicing the interests of the participating accounts.
Unit Investment Trust Fund (UITF) is a trust product and NOT a DEPOSIT account and not insured by PDIC. Due to the nature of the investments, yield and potential yields cannot be guaranteed. Any income or loss arising from market fluctuations and price volatility of the securities held by the Fund, even if invested in government securities, is for the account of the investor. As such, units of participation in the Fund, when redeemed, may be worth more or be worth less than his/her/its initial investment/contribution. Historical performance, when presented, is purely for reference purposes and is not guarantee of future results. Security Bank Corporation – Trust and Asset Management Group as Trustee is not liable for losses, unless upon willful default, bad faith or gross negligence.
Indemnification
We will not be liable for, and you agree to indemnify and keep us indemnified, against any and all proceedings, claims, losses, damages or expenses (including legal costs) arising from or in connection with the following:
Our action upon any instructions which are identified by any use of your Security Bank app Username, Password, and your OTP;
The improper or unauthorized use of Security Bank app, or your Security Bank app Username, Password, and OTP;
Any damage to your device/s, related facilities, or software as a result of any access to the Security Bank app through your Security Bank app Username, Password, OTP;
Any loss or damage caused by any access through your Security Bank app Username, Password, OTP when the same is prohibited, restricted, delayed, or otherwise affected by (i) any law or regulation of the country from where Security Bank app is accessed and/or the terms and conditions prescribed by the relevant internet service provider or information service provider in such country of access; or (ii) any law or regulation of any jurisdiction, regional or international authority which governs any use of any component of the Security Bank app, any relevant internet service provider or information service provider or system;
Any loss or damage caused by any act or omission of any relevant internet service provider or information service provider or network provider occasioned by any access via your Security Bank app Username, Password, or your OTP;
Any loss or damage caused by any modification, alteration, upgrade, or termination of Security Bank app via any access through your Security Bank app Username, Password, or your OTP;
Any access (or inability or delay in accessing) and/or use of any browser which we provide to allow access to the Security Bank app;
Any errors or omissions in the information and materials contained in the Security Bank website;
Any delay or failure in any transmission, dispatch, or communication facilities;
A non-delivery, delayed delivery, or the misdirected delivery of an OTP due to factors affecting your mobile provider(s) or Internet service provider(s) and other factors outside our control, and your failure or inability to access your Security Bank app account as a result thereof.
Limitation of Liability
Subject to the provisions herein, if we are found liable for any act or omission for any reason whatsoever, our liability will be limited to the service fee charged to you or your actual proven damages, whichever is less, unless the Bank is found to be guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct in relation to the subject transaction, and there is no contributory negligence on the part of the Client. We will not be liable to you for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damages arising in any way out of the use of the Security Bank app.
The Bank shall be liable only for its failure to act with good faith or to exercise reasonable care and skill, which shall be determined in accordance with the standards and practices of the banking industry and as prescribed by the regulatory body.
Security
We will use reasonable effort to ensure that the Security Bank app is secure and cannot be accessed by unauthorized third parties. However, we do not warrant the security, secrecy, or confidentiality of any information transmitted through any relevant Internet or mobile phone service provider, network system, or such other equivalent system in any jurisdiction via the Security Bank app. You will notify us immediately upon receipt of any data or information which is not intended for you and you will delete such data or information from the customer devices immediately.
We will require you to change your password on the 90th day since your last password change. This shall be mandatory before you can proceed to your account dashboard.
Information
Security Bank will use reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information accessed through the Security Bank app but does not warrant the information will be free from error. If you notice an error in your account information while using Security Bank app or performing a transaction, you shall advise the Bank as soon as possible. The Bank will endeavor to correct the error promptly on a "best efforts basis" and adjust any interest or charges arising out of the error. In the absence of fraud, fault, or gross negligence on the part of the Bank, we will not be liable for the consequences arising from erroneous information that you supplied through the Security Bank app. You will be solely responsible and liable for all losses and consequences arising from or in connection with any failure by you in reporting any discrepancies, omissions, inaccuracies, or incorrect entries on your account.
Information on any of your accounts shall be deemed to be correct unless the Bank receives written notice to the contrary from you within twenty (20) calendar days from receipt of your statements for deposit accounts and within seventy-five (75) calendar days from statement date for credit cards.
New Services
New services may be introduced by the Bank into the Security Bank app, from time to time. By using such new services, you agree to be bound by the applicable terms and conditions concerning these services, which specific terms and conditions, if and when such services are availed, are deemed incorporated herein by reference.
Intellectual Property Rights
You acknowledge that all proprietary rights relating to or in connection with the Security Bank app (including without limitation the Security Bank website) and all updates thereof, including without limitation trademark, trade name, service mark, patent, and copyright will at all times vest and remain vested in us. Security Bank app uses proprietary software and you agree that we have granted you a non-exclusive license to use this software in connection with the Security Bank app, which allows you to use such software only for its intended purposes. You will not disassemble, decompile, copy, modify or reverse engineer any such software or allow anyone else to do so.
Independent Internet Service Provider/Computer Terminal
You understand that any access to the Security Bank app will be done through an internet service provider or network provider in the country from where such service is accessed, and to this extent, such access will also be subject to and governed by the relevant laws and regulations of that country and any terms and conditions prescribed by such internet service provider or network provider in separate agreements with you. You will be responsible for all telephone charges and charges by any Internet service provider incurred in connection with the use of the Security Bank app. You represent to the best of your knowledge that the customer device/s and any other computer system through which access may be done by your Security Bank app Username, Password, or your OTP are free from any electronic, mechanical, data failure or corruption, computer viruses, and bugs. You agree that neither we nor any of our officers and employees of Security Bank is responsible for any electronic, mechanical, data failure or corruption, computer viruses, and bugs or related problems that may be attributable to the services provided by any internet service provider or information service provider.
Change of Email Address, Mobile Phone Number and/or Landline Phone Number
You will immediately notify the Security Bank of any change in your e-mail address and/or mobile phone number. We will not be responsible for the consequences of your inability to receive your OTP or any other email or SMS or telephone messages from Security Bank as a result of your failure to timely notify us of the change in your e-mail address and/or mobile phone number. Neither will Security Bank be responsible for the consequences of the OTP, or any other email, or SMS or telephone messages from Security Bank being sent to the wrong person, as a result of your failure to timely notify us of the change in your e-mail address and/or mobile phone number.
Electronic Communication
You agree that we may communicate with you through SMS, email, verified instant messaging , or any other means of communication, for prompts, reminders, and notices concerning your account in the Security Bank app ("Electronic Message"). Electronic Messages are sent to you for convenience, information, notification, or demand purposes. We do not guarantee the timely delivery or accuracy of an Electronic Message; it may not be current at the time of delivery due to delivery lag time. You agree that each Electronic Message may be sent to you without being encrypted and may include your personal and account information. It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your mobile phone, email account, and computer/electronic devices, and to inform us of any changes to your mobile phone number and email address on time.
You agree to hold us free and harmless against any and all liability, administrative, civil or criminal, including those that relate to any secrecy laws or regulations, if any Electronic Message is viewed or accessed by any other person, as well as against any liability resulting from your failure to update your mobile number or email address with us, rendering us unable to send Electronic Messages to you, unless the Bank is found to be guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct in relation to the subject transaction, and there is no contributory negligence on the part of the Client.
Security Bank App Access through Mobile Phones/Mobile Devices
You acknowledge that your access to the Security Bank app via the use of your mobile phone or mobile device includes but is not limited to the following: viewing of your Account Summary and Account Details (listing of all transactions up to the past 90days), Bills Payment, Funds Transfer to own accounts, and Funds Transfer to other Security Bank accounts/ to 3rd party bank accounts in the Philippines, and inquiry on Security Bank’s latest products, promos, services, and branch locations. You consent to the transmission of communications through the Internet and your mobile phone/mobile devices and acknowledge that the internet and mobile phone / mobile devices are not necessarily secure communications and delivery systems, and understand the risks associated with it (among others, confidentiality, security, tampering, and unauthorized use). You agree to waive any bank secrecy rights under Republic Act No. 1405, as amended, Republic Act 6426, as amended, Section 55.1(b) of Republic Act No. 8791, Republic Act No. 10870, and any and all other laws on the confidentiality of bank deposits and credit card information.
Marketing Activities
You agree that we may process, profile and share your Personal Data and other Information to our offices, branches, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, representatives, and third-party service providers, and other Data Recipients, to offer, solicit, sell, and conduct marketing activities through the mail, email, fax, SMS, telephone or other means of communication, including social media, for the duration of and even after the closure or cancellation of the account. Your marketing preferences are reflected on our standard forms which you have accomplished and executed during account opening. Electronic Statement User Agreement
You may view your Electronic Statement (eSOA) of your account/s via the Security Bank app using your Security Bank app username, password, and/or one-time PIN (OTP). The e-SOA contains information regarding any of your Accounts with Security Bank.
By signing up for the Security Bank app, you accept and agree to be bound by all operational rules and general terms and conditions governing Security Bank eSOA.
You likewise agree to be bound by any and all laws, rules, regulations, and official issuances applicable to Security Bank eSOA, now existing or which may hereinafter be enacted, issued or enforced, as well as such other terms and conditions governing the use of other facilities, benefits or services we may from time to time make available to you in connection with Security Bank app.
You acknowledge and agree that your receipt of any e-SOA may be delayed or prevented by factor(s)affecting your Internet service provider(s) or mobile device data service provider(s) and other factors outside our control. You agree to hold us, its directors, officers, employees, and agents free and harmless from any and all losses or damages, including attorneys' fees, that may arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from delay in receipt of e-SOA or e-Advice, unless the Bank is found to be guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct in relation to the subject transaction, and there is no contributory negligence on the part of the Client.
We shall not be liable if you are unable to view your e-Statement. You understand that the Security Bank app and/or your internet/data service may not be available at certain times due to maintenance and/or computer, telecommunication, electrical, or network failure or for any other reasons beyond our control.
You agree that by signing up for Security Bank app you shall be enrolled in Security Bank’s eSOA. Your ESOA is uploaded to the Security Bank app next banking day after it’s generated on your statement cut-off.
You further agree that we may send you a notification that your e-SOA is ready for viewing in the Security Bank app.
After any suspension or cancellation of enrollment, eSOA may be reinstated at any time at our sole discretion.
You agree on the delay or failure to make available your credit card eSOA shall not relieve you of your obligation to pay amounts due on the Card on or before the Payment Due Date.
Unauthorized Use
You must promptly examine your statements upon receipt or electronic statement of account (eSOA) upon availability. If you discover any discrepancies, omissions, inaccuracies, or incorrect entries, you must immediately notify Security Bank. You will be liable for all losses before your reporting any discrepancies, omissions, inaccuracies, or incorrect entries or if you act fraudulently or with negligence, including failing to properly safeguard your Security Bank app Username, Password, and your OTP, or to immediately report the loss, theft or compromise of your account.
Statements and eSOA addressed to you relating to any of your Accounts shall be deemed to be correct unless Security Bank receives written notice to the contrary from you within twenty (20) calendar days from receipt of your statements for deposit accounts and within seventy-five (75) calendar days from statement date for credit cards.
If you notify Security Bank of any error in any statement or eSOA relating to your Accounts, we shall investigate the error and make the corrections as appropriate.
Service Charges and Taxes
You agree to pay the charges that may be imposed by the Bank when availing of services and/or products under this facility and the standard SMS and call rates that will apply by using this facility. We will deduct the charges directly from your deposit account balance as these are incurred. We are not responsible for the monitoring of your mobile phone charges. It is your responsibility to monitor these charges and to ensure that you have enough mobile credits to transact using this facility. We will not be liable for dishonor of other debits to your deposit account resulting from our deduction of any charges as authorized by your acceptance of these terms.
You are also responsible for paying any and whatever taxes due or may be imposed upon or arising from availment of this. You authorize the Bank to automatically charge or debit your deposit account for any and all such taxes due.
As always, you may choose to decline changes by discontinuing the accounts or services to which these changes relate. We also reserve the option, in our business judgment, to waive, reduce or reverse charges or fees for individual situations.

Provided that, concerns relating to the loss of client’s mobile device where client’s Security Bank app Mobile App is registered, suspected or actual security breach concerning client’s Security Bank app, OTP, password/Mobile PIN, and/or replacement and/or change of number of any mobile phone or device (used by client) for the generation and/or reception of OTP should be immediately reported to the Customer Service Hotline at the numbers provided above.
The client agrees to the Bank’s conduct of verification when he/she contacts the Bank via Customer Service Hotline.
The Bank shall only act upon client’s concerns, when the following information are completely provided:
Client name, ATM/Credit Card No.and/or enrolled Security Bank Account number;
Details of the error or transaction as applicable, such as: date and time, payee account details, merchant/subscriber number, amount, mobile number and reference number for the transaction in question or completion of the transaction dispute form when necessary. The dispute form is available/downloadable at https://www.securitybank.com/online-forms/.
The Bank will respond to the inquiries and provide resolution feedback to the concerns raised within seven to twenty (7- 20) banking days from the receipt of the complaint, and that for complaints requiring more time to investigate and resolve, the Bank will advise client accordingly, including the progress thereof.
An official response of the concerned unit will be provided to the client once investigation is completed. However, the Bank does not guarantee reversal of client’s transaction.
