What is ChargeLight?

ChargeLight allows you to convert a single-receipt retail and/or purchase transaction of at least PHP 5,000, charged to your Security Bank credit card, and pay in installments with a low monthly add-on rate.

  1. Eligibility Requirements
    1. The Cardholder must have an active and current Security Bank credit card.
    2. The cardholder must have the transaction charge slip for the straight purchase/s to be converted.
    3. The minimum amount that can be requested is PHP5,000.
    4. Only primary credit cardholders are allowed to request for ChargeLight. Supplementary cardholders who want to apply should reach out to their primary cardholder to file a request on their behalf.
    5. ChargeLight applications should be filed no later than five (5) business days before your cut-off date.

  2. Important Reminders: 
    1. Conversion to ChargeLight is valid for foreign currency-denominated transactions made using your Philippine Peso-denominated Security Bank credit card.
    2. Foreign currency has been converted using Mastercard's currency conversion rate of the day into Philippine Peso equivalent.
    3. Dollar-denominated Security Bank credit cards are excluded from the Convert to ChargeLight program.
    4. The following transactions types are excluded for Convert to ChargeLight: Cash Advances, Fees, Installments, Government-related payments, Donations, and Gambling transactions.
